The
addition of a £3.6m leisure club, and a £1m conference centre,
plus a £450k upgrade to bedrooms and reception area, were
carried out at the Four Seasons Hotel, during 1999.
ALA
was called in at the early stages of the project, following
the purchase of the hotel by the Swallow Group. ALA urgently
reviewed the status of the work, and made essential changes
to the duties and relationships within the project team,
ensuring that effective controls were put in place. ALA
took the role of Contract Administrator as well as Clients
Project Manager.
The
new facilities were all opened for Christmas '99, only 45
weeks after ALA was first commissioned.
